Microsoft is very enept at understanding which markets will be profitable for them and which ones to avoid. Whenever they decide to enter a market they tend to become the market leader and start effluencing the direction the market will take. Two markets that demonstrate this is the networking software market and video game market.
Intending to become the market leader in computer networking software, Microsoft entered the market years ago when Novel Netware was on top. Selecting a platform they felt would make them the number 1 networking software company they not only stole the market from Novell but introduced new concepts and ideas that would make Novells offering completly obsolete the moment it was introduced.
Now Microsoft is starting to do the same thing with their XBOX 360 pro system and the XBOX accessories that are being released are an indication that the rest of the video game industry better put their thinking caps on and find a way to stay with Microsoft or else the new line of XBOX 360 accessories could threaten to leave them in the dust. The newest line of Microsoft XBOX 360 accessories are all part of a way to play video games that others have introduced the past but, as always, Microsoft is setting out to improve.

For years there have been remedial versions of interactive console games available but no one really took the time and effort to perfect it. With the newest line of XBOX 360 accessories it has become apparent that Microsoft is once again blazing a path that others must follow to stay in business. With the headset you can hear and talk to people that you are playing interactive games with from anywhere in the world. With the modem you can hook up to your home’s wireless router and put your XBOX on the internet to interact with anyone in the world.
Microsoft has always been a tough competitor, and with the new Xbox 360 accessories that are being introduced reveal that Microsoft is again trying to dominate and revolutionize the market in which they had a late entry. With the new lines of products and accessories being introduced, they may just accomplish their goals.
