As a spell caster Mage are fantastic. Their talents at using fire, frost and the arcane are unmatched in Warcraft. Yes, Mages are strong with magic but they lack stength in combat. Mages are not well armored or weaponized, in fact they only wear cloth and weild wands, daggers, swords, and staves. But they have an arsenal of spells that allow Mages to destroy their enemies from a safe distance. Two interesting things that Mages can do with their magic is create food and drink to restore other players and teleport to distant parts of the world with the use of portals. Mages can be played by the Human, Gnome, Undead, Troll, Blood Elf and Draenei races. Now let’s turn our attention in the WoW Mage guide to the strengths and weakness of this class.

Mage Strengths:
One of the major strengths of Mages is that they can use spells to inflict major damage to single and even multiple targets. However if the battle isn’t going well then the Mage can do 2 things. Firstly, they can hold off enemies with magic and secondly they’re masters of escape with their Frost Nova, Blink and Ice Armor spells.
As mentioned before, they are fantastic at launching attacks from long distances and avoid taking damage themselves. They can transport themselves and other player through portals.
Mage Weaknesses:
The Mages lack of armor is the source of one major weakness of this class, making it difficult for them to survive much damage. They are not very good for melee at all so don’t choose the Mage class if you want to melee. Finally, they are great at magic but don’t have any spells that will heal them.
Cool Mage Spells:
As a conclusion to the WoW Mage guide I’ll mention some cool spells. Some of these can make up a little for some of their weaknesses.
- Mirror Image- This will created duplicates of you that can then fight in battle.
- Invisibility- Makes you invisible, but only for a short distance.
- Water Elemental- Mages can summon a Water Elemental to fight in battle.
- Ice Block and Ice Barrier- These spells can really be handy since they allow the mage to take some damage.
