The Popular Medieval Party in Club Penguin

One of the most entertaining things to do on the game Club Penguin is to visit the different events and parties that are given for the players. Parties are almost always scheduled once each month and mostly have a theme, such as the {Christmas,St. Patrick’s,April Fool’s} Party or the Halloween Party. But one of the biggest events each year is the Club Penguin Medieval Party, which first occuured in May of ‘08 and is scheduled again for May, 2009. Almost all of the areas in Club Penguin are redecorated for the event and there are a lot of cool things you can do.

The first Medieval Party occurred between May 16, 2008 and May 25, 2008. It was one of the biggest parties in Club Penguin history. Most of the rooms in the game were decorated. As usual, one of the most anticipated things was the free item given out. In 2008, there were two pieces of clothing that players could obtain for free. The first free item was the Squire Tunic available at the Dock. The second free item was a wizard hat which was at the Lighthouse. The wizard hat was a repeat item that was first given out in the Halloween Party from 2006.

Top Key Activities from the 2008 Medival Party

Dragon in the Mines

One of the most popular attractions was a dragon that appeared inside the Mines. The Switchbox 3000 device, which normally appears at the Theatre Stage was relocated into the Mine to control the dragon.

Magic Mirror

At the Mountain there was a Magic Mirror which operated in a way similar to that of a “Magic 8″ ball.

Special Costumes

In the Gift Shop’s catalog Penguin Style there was a dragon, knight and princess costume for member Penguins, medieval backgrounds and a hiddennote from the party committee about preparing for this party. The costumes could be bought by members in Club Penguin.

TreeTop Fort

This room was a special room that only appeared during the Club Penguin Medieval Party. It was a place to hang out and enjoy the party. One silly feature was a hole in the tree where different colored Puffles would appear and make faces at you.

The 2009 Medieval Party

The 2009 edition of the Club Penguin Medieval Party will be held from May 8, 2009 through May 17, 2009. Club Penguin has only released a few details about the party but it looks to be as big, if not bigger than last year’s!
