Warlock – A Class for Everyone to Fear
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on November 19th, 2009
If you decide to role a Warlock, rest assured that you will have plenty of fun. They are dark casters that use fire and shadow spells to devastate their opponents. Since they are interested for the “dark arts”, they are highly skilled in demonology. With the demonology abilities Warlocks are able to summon a few types of demons which serve them as their pets, like an imp, fel hound, succubus, void walker and infernal. This makes the Warlock one of the two classes (Hunter being the second one) that is able to have a pet at his side at almost all times.
Moving through the game will be a lot easier if you have a pet around you since he will take most of the damage that comes your way. When it comes to their offensive abilities, Warlocks are damage dealers and their main spells, like shadow bolts, can cause a lot of damage. However, spells that made Warlocks famous are definitely spells that cause “fear” in other targets making them flee. On top of that the Warlock has several “damage over time” spells (DoTs) which deal good amounts of damage over a specific amount of time. Click here to watch the video: WoW Warlock
When he combines his spells and abilities right, a Warlock can become a tuff PvP opponent and one of the highest damage dealers in PvE instances and raids. The basic assignment of a Warlock in PvP is to fear his targets while at the same time he applies dots, while in PvE he is most likely to use his Shadow Bolt.
Apart from damage dealing spell, Locks have many other useful skills. The most popular one is definitely the ability create a summoning portal – the Dark Portal. This portal is frequently used in raids, and with this ability a Lock can summon players from afar to his current location. However, in order for this spell to work, a Warlock will need help from a few other players in his group. The Dark Portal can basically be used similar to the meeting stones that can be found in front of instances.
Another helpful ability a Lock has is to place a Soul Stone on a friendly player or himself. If a player is Soul Stoned he can resurrect on the spot upon death. This is very useful in raids and also can reduce the time of CR - corps running, even though its cooldown is 30 minutes. For a Lock, the Soul Stone is great while leveling and while in a party or raid the Soul Stone is usually applied to any player who can resurrect other players upon death (healer). Warlocks are also known for their ability to produce Health Stones which are used similar as the healing potions but they restore even more health. The Warlock can hand out the Health Stones to others as well and at some point the Warlock will be able to summon a Soul Well where everybody in the party or raid can click on to receive a Health Stone. What is nice about the Health Stones is that they do not share the same cool down as Healing Potions which means that you can use the both of them in a longer fight.
Warlocks are a very fun and interesting class to play. Not only that you will have the abilities to summon many different demons as pets to fight for you, you will also have very destructive and strong damage spells, abilities to fear the enemies, and a couple of other very useful spells that will greatly improve your group’s performance. If you like to play with casting classes and want an easy time leveling up, the Warlock class is a great one to chose!

WOW Warlock Guide
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on September 24th, 2009
Warlock is one of the most widely used characters in World of Warcraft. This WOW Warlock guide will help you how you will unleash the potentials of this character and how you can maximize its abilities for you to be able to gain level up quickly. This guide will be discussing the importance of choosing the right build and at the same time, the timing of execution of each attack.
You have to remember to first of all choose the build most suited for your character. Destruction, Affliction, and Demonology are the choices available. Each build has its own particular special skills and attacks for your character. But the key to success in this game is knowing the best build that will suit your role. And in this WOW Warlock guide, it will give you the idea of using the Affliction build for you to be able to gain more experience in a shorter span of time thus making you powerful enough to kill enemies and be useful in your group. Affliction build will provide you the skill to cast powerful curses that can inflict large damages and also, it will give you the opportunity to create deadly combination that will be a sure kill.
Understanding the concept of this WOW Warlock guide will lead you to having a character powerful enough to deal with any enemy. Of course, as a starter, until level 52, you should develop all your affliction build skills for you to effectively use it in combat. The following are series of attacks that ensure the death your opponent. Allow your Voidwalker to do the attacking first. This will give you enough time to divert the attention of your enemy and for you to cast spells. Afterwards, you can cast the Curse of Agony, Corruption, Siphon Life, and Drain Life spells. When you get a nightfall, you can cast Shadowbolt to finish your enemy. Refresh your Lifetap and DOTs when the necessity arises.
You will need this WOW Warlock guide to teach you how to effectively strengthen your character enough to destroy its adversaries. Although you can try other build after level 52 because it does not matter what you will do next because you already built the foundation of your strong attacks. You might want to develop additional skills for your backup attacks especially in different combats and fights.
WoW Warlock Basics Guide

This WoW warlock guide should point you in the right direction when you are starting out as a warlock. Warlocks are best known for their shadow magic and fire magic spells and especially for the ability to conjure and command minions. Casting dark spells of pain and suffering are a warlock’s stock in trade. They can inflict massive spell damage from a distance but are not often in the middle of things due to their low armor class. Many of a warlock’s spells use soul shards which have to be collected from slain enemies. Warlocks are quite possibly the fastest leveling class especially when playing solo. When raiding with a party, warlocks can do massive quantities of damage and need to be careful not to pull aggro off of the tank.
Permissible races for the warlock class are restricted to Blood Elves, Gnomes, Humans, Orcs, and Undead. Warlocks are only allowed to wear cloth armor, not unlike many of the other casting classes. As far as weapons go, warlocks are limited to only using daggers, staves, some swords, and wands.
The most well known power of the warlock is demon summoning (including the Imp, Voidwalker, Succubus, Felhunter, Infernal, Doomguard, and Felguard). Every minion has their role with both pluses and minuses. Warlocks have a wide array of spells at their disposal including DoT’s, direct damage spells, and some useful utility spells. They can even conjure up various items and perform resurrections on dead players by using soul shards. They also possess a minor self healing ability via drain life, and some crowd control talents ,too. Since warlocks are able to acquire mounts through quests, they save bucket loads of gold that the other characters need to spend.
Affliction talents are meant to bolster the warlock’s curses, damage over time spells, and drains. This spec is good for farming, boss killing, and raiding. This is commonly accepted as being the best leveling spec for the warlock class.
The Demonology talent tree uses talents that are meant to make summoned demonic minions more powerful and more useful, as well as enhancing conjuring spells and giving you better passive bonuses. The Demonology spec is really useful for PvP and overall survivability. It can also be good when leveling, though it isn’t quite as efficient as Affliction. You will be extremely dependant on your demons when using this spec.
The Destruction spec uses talents that increase the effectiveness of the warlock’s fire and shadow spells, which are mainly direct damage spells used to quickly kill one enemy. This talent tree is cumbersome to use effectively at lower levels so it is most often played once players get to higher levels. Note that Destruction is not good for solo play. Also, keep in mind that it suffers from poor mana efficiency and has a heavy reliance on farming soul shards. However, it is very cool watching health bars go to zero at lightning speed.
