Farming Gold at WoW | Select the Most Profitable Mob

Farming is killing certain mob in certain location to earn gold and loots from it; even though it is an old and simple ways to make gold, it is still a powerful method if used correctly. With a good gold farming guide, you’ll know the most profitable locations, zones, or instances to farm; the fastest techniques to finish the mob and earn your loots; and the best class to do it.

This is not a detailed gold farming guide, but I’ll try to reveal as much as I can. If you just created your character, it is impossible to farm effectively, so go and grab a couple of quests, earning experience, gain several copper or silver, and get your character to level 15.

Once you hit level 15, it is depend on your faction. If you are in the Alliance faction, go to Gold Coast area in Westfall to look for Defias Windmill. You’ll find a lot of Defias mobs near the windmill; you can acquire linen cloth and other humanoid loots from them. These mobs are around level 12, so it should be easy to finish them; the spawn rate also pretty high, so you don’t have to worry about running out of mobs to kill.

If you are in Horde faction, you can go to The Barrens and start killing Great Plainstrider. It has pretty high chance to drop Light Feather, which is sold well at the AH. Sometimes it also drops fair weapons and armors such as Fire Wand or Native Sash.

One tips that you have to remember when farming is always keeping empty space in your bag; that means selling your trash to the nearest vendor whenever possible. If you happen to be in a condition where your bag is full and there is no vendor around, throw away the less valuable items and keep the higher value ones.

Note that you can mix farming with other gold making methods for even more gold. For example, take mining profession and mine at nodes near your farming spot; read more about mining at world of warcraft mining guide. For other alternatives, check the list of gold making methods at WoW gold making guide.

These are some good farming spots for higher level character:

1. Alterac Mountains in Eastern Kingdoms; kill Elemental Slave here, they have slight chances to drop elemental earth that sell well at the Auction House.

2. Scarlet Monastery Graveyard in Trisfal Glades; hunt for Unfettered Spirit, it is easier than other monsters and the drops also quite good.

3. The Badlands in Eastern Kingdoms; find normal Rock Elemental for lots of grey loots such as Lifeless Stone and Jagged Piece of Stone.

4. Searing Gorge in Eastern Kingdom; kills the elites here and get your Mageweave Cloth.

5. Felwood in Kalimdor; find the Deadwoods as they drop silver, Living Essences, rare herb, and major healing potions.

6. Shalzaru’s Lair at the northern end of the Isle of Dread; get the Nagas here for Golden Pearl drops.

7. Deadwind Pass in Eastern Kingdoms; get Deadwind Ogre Mage for Runecloth drop.

8. Arklon Ruins in Netherstorm, Outland; the Artifac Seeker drops Mark of Sargeras while the Fellblade Doomguard can give you Fel Armament.

9. Dragonblight in Northrend; from Venomspite, go south until you reach the shore while killing all humanoid mobs in your way to gain gold and many other loots.

10. Wintergrasp in Northrend; ready for some challenge? This PvP zone will make farming even more difficult, but you’ll find various Revenant here that drop Crystallized Air, Water, Shadow, Fire, and Earth.

There are a lot of other farming spots that offer you good gold per hour rate; you only need to know what to kill and the fastest method to do so. For the best gold farming guide, I strongly recommend Gold Secrets. Why? Find the answer in Gold Secrets review.

Talent Build Guide for PvP Paladin

For you who enjoy spending your time at the PvP Arena with your teamates, I believe that you will find this paladin guide for pvp very useful. Adding a paladin in your team can give you various benefits that your opponents don’t have such as healing and blessing. Anyone who ever fighting against a team with experienced Holy paladin in it must know how he/she can give the opponent very hard time in battle.

Being a Holy Paladin doesn’t mean that you have to go deep in Holy tree; some paladins in the Arena PvP have tried to combine Holy and Retribution and it is works well for them. However, in this Holy Paladin talent build I will focus on Holy/Protection build (all maxed except the one that I put note):

Holy
1. Spiritual Focus: you are going to cast Holy Light often, so this is very useful.
2. Healing Light: increasing your healing power.
3. Divine Intellect; put only one point here
4. Unyielding Faith: useful against Priest and Warlocks.
5. Aura Mastery: an anti Silence; nice since you are nothing without your spells.
6. Illumination: another mana source.
7. Improved Concentration Aura: Reduce duration of Interrupt.
8. Pure of Heart: another anti Warlock skill.
9. Divine Favor: when you need greater healing or damage.
10. Sanctified Light: chance to increase your healing and attack.
11. Holy Power: another power up chance to your Holy spells.
12. Light’s Grace: Useful in emergency situations.
13. Holy Shock: instant damage for your enemy or healing for your allies.
14. Holy Guidance: make your spells even more powerful.
15. Divine Illumination: useful if you are going to cast spell that cost large amount of mana such as Beacon of Light.
16. Judgement of the Pure:increase the power of your Judgement spells, which will makes your opponent’s life even harder.
17. Infusion of Light: can be useful in some conditions.
18. Enlightened Judgements: another power up for your Judgement spells.
19. Beacon of Light: Saves mana when you have to heal more than one character. Based on the situation, you may have to cast it on yourself.
Important thing to consider: Beacon of Light will drain 35% of your base mana; this is a lot to pay for a single spell. If you have the chance, put Divine Illumination before casting Beacon of Light.

Protection
1. Divinity: increase your healing.
2. Stoicism: good protection against stun.
3. Guardian’s Favor: power up your hand spells.
4. Divine Sacrifice: use it with your bubble spells.
5. Improved Righteous Fury: makes you harder.
6. Toughness (1 point).
7. Divine Guardian: make you even harder.
8. Improved Hammer of Justice: annoy your enemies and save your allies. Some other pvp guide for paladin usually recommend Improved Devotion Aura, but from my experience, more Hammer of Justice can save your team from many potential defeats.

Notice that this talent build for holy paladin doesn’t only rely on healing spells to keep your teammates alive and kicking; use other spells too such as Hand of Sacrifice, Sacred Shield, or Divine Sacrifice. It is very important to be versatile so you can adapt to various situation;eg: read this rogue talent build to see a solid example of a versatile build.

Keep remind yourself that put Hand of Sacrifice and Divinde Sacrifice doesn’t mean that you will be in dangerous situation. If things start to get out hands, cast Beacon of Light to protect yourself and focus on keeping your friends alive.

Different Paladin PvP Guide focus on different playing style, but I think Holy Paladin is hold more important role in PvP Arena than the one that focused on damage dealing. By playing your abilities and spells strategically (remember, you have limited mana), you can keep your entire team alive and at the same time help them finishing the other team.

Note: if you enjoy PvP, you may want to build another popular PvP class: Warlock. Learn how to build a PvP Warlock at Warlock PvP Guide.

All You Need To Know To Be a Great WoW Hunter

Hunter, the term used to describe a class that uses weapons from a distance, is not only common in WoW but many other games as well. Hunters are usually better at using arrows or bullets than they are at up close fighting. WoW provides the hunter class with various means to stay away from their foes such as traps and pet system.

Selecting Race
If you have made the choice to play as a hunter you have to be very careful on the first few steps since that will have a big impact on your life as a hunter. You want to pick the best race, each race has its good points and it’s bad; the available races are: Night Elves, Dwarf, Draenei, Tauren, Troll, Orc, and Blood Elves. These are their skills that will be useful as a hunter:

1. Night Elves: Shadowmeld to give them the ability to hide and quickness for extra dodge.

2. Dwarf: Gun Specialization to increase your critical hit rate and Stoneform to counter various types of debuffs such as poison, disease, and bleeding.

3. Draenei: Can heal yourself or your pet; it also has Heroic Presence which improves hit by 1% for all member of the party.

4. Tauren: War Stomp can help them escape to a distance. Endurance increases health by 5% and can be stacked with Endurance Training.

5. Troll: Bow Specialization can add to their critical hit rate when using a bow, add this to berserking and they get a higher DPS. HP regeneration and beast slaying are more reasons to pick this race. See how being a Troll allow you to make even more powerful hunter at WoW Troll Guide.

6. Orc: Command will increase your pet damage by 5% and Blood Fury can boost your attack power.

7. Blood Elves: Arcane Torrent is good to have, it will silencing enemy and refill your mana.

Every race has it’s own abilities that can support you as a hunter; my recommendation: narrow your choice to Night Elves or Dwarf for the Alliance faction and Orc, Troll, and Tauren for the Horde Faction. The reasons behind my recommendation lays in your next step: selecting your talents build.

Talents Build
Hunters, like other classes, have three talent trees to focus on: Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival. Everyone has their own ideas and other guides might make different suggestions so it is up to you to pick the best ones for your playing style.

Beast Mastery
Orc is the best for this path because they have command traits which can boost a pet’s damage by 5%. Orc’s are resistant to stun and by using Blood Fury they can boost their damage. Pick a DPS type pet to help you dealt greater damage such as cats and owls in PvP and a tanking pet such as boar for leveling.

Marksmanship
Dwarf and Troll are the most recommended for this path since both of them have weapon specialization which mean more damage. If you playing this hunter type; take a tank pet such a bear or boar and stay within safe distance from your enemies. If you choose Night Elves, shadowmeld is useful, but only in PvP.

Survival
This type of hunter usually plays as a support in a group; they pull enemies to their group using their long range, and then buff their groups with aspects or aura; usually this hunter type doesn’t have that much DPS since they invest most of their points in Survival tree. Tauren is good choice for this role since it also has war stomp and increased health.

After deciding on the best talent build, slow leveling process will add up your stress. Find out some of my methods to speed it up at wow quick leveling.

WoW is a complex game and have unlimited possibilities; while this basic WoW Hunter Guide is good if you are just planning to create your first hunter, there are various other methods to create a powerful hunter using different race and different talents build; you just need to be creative. I recommend that you check Ultimate WoW Review for a guide that can boost everything in your hunter life: fast leveling, huge amount of gold to fund your gears and mounts, and pvp domination.
