How to Copy Xbox Games

If you are looking into how to copy and play copied Xbox games this article is here to help. Creating and using back ups of your current Xbox games is perfectly legal, but actually getting set up and doing so is pretty difficult. In order to do this you will need to have a computer and some basic equipment. It would not hurt if you have a solid understanding of how computers and more specifically DVD drives function. This is something you can learn if you are willing to put in the time.

The first thing you need to do is plug in your Xbox to your computer. You can do this by simply connecting the two with a cross over cable. A cross over cable is not the same as an normal Ethernet cable and you will need to purchase one for this task. Once you have the two systems connected you need to FTP the files off of the Xbox and onto the computer. If you can do this you will have made it through one of the harder steps in copying Xbox games. Once you have taken the files over to your PC you need to convert them to the ISO format. Once in this format it is very easy to burn the files over to DVD or CD.

Not all burning software is made the same so you are going to want to use software that makes putting the ISOs on DVDs as easy as possible. Also make sure that you are using the right kind of DVDs. A completely modified Xbox will be able to read DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, and CD-RW disks.

The last, and most important step, is to Mod your Xbox. You will need to fully re hardwire your Xbox with one of these electronic devices. A mod chip rewrites the BIOS on your Xbox so that it can read the copied game files. One thing to remember before you put the Mod in is that doing so will invalidate your warranty. Once in though, you will be able to play the games you burned off with no problem.
