The most popular hybrid class in the World of Warcraft definitely is the Druid class. A lot of players find this class to be a lot of fun to level up and play. If you choose the Alliance side, you can become a Druid by choosing the Night Elf race, while if you are playing on the Horde side you can become a Druid by choosing the Tauren race.
With so many different abilities Druids are mostly famous for their shape-shifting. They have many forms they can turn themselves into and the basic ones are Cat, Bear, Travel and Sea Lion form. When the Burning Crusade was released Druids got the flying form as their flying ability. While all other classes had to wait until level 70 to be able to use their flying mounts, Druids could use their flight form on the level 68!. A fun thing when it comes to this ability was that a Druid flight form is an instant cast same as any other form they had which made them even more movable.

When it comes to specialization a Druid has three talent trees to choose from – Balance, Restoration or Feral Combat and by placing his talent points into one of these threes he can become a healer, damage dealer in the form of a caster or a melee dps and a tank. With the Balance talent build, a Druid will be able to shapeshift into another very fun form – the Moonkin which will allow him to become a typical caster damage dealer.
When shape-shifted into Moonkin he will give his party members +5% on the critical strike rating and therefore all other caster classes will have him in favor. A Moonkin uses mana for his spells and is often called “Boomkin” which explains how high his damage can be.
To get the best damage output they will rotate their spells and plus use two DoTs – Moonfire and Insect Swarm. A Moonkin is not only limited to single target damage spells and he can also deal a lot of AoE damage with spells like Hurricane, Starfall and Typhoon. Moonkins need to have good gear with as much spell power as possible and a lot of haste, crit and hit rating. Feral Druids can choose between a tank spec or a melee dps spec.
When he shapeshifts into the bear form, a Druid will have a lot of stamina and armor and can tank as good as any other tanking class, and if he wants to dps in melee he can always shapeshift into the cat form. A Resto Druid, popularly called “the tree” because of his tree form, is one of the best healers in WoW. While in the tree form druid’s spells will cost him less mana and the overall healing will be enhanced for 6% done by anybody to anybody in the same raid group. In order to be on the top of the healing meter, a Resto Druid needs to have healing adequate gear with a lot of spirit and sp (spell power). Their healing abilities are dependent on their gear which needs to have a lot of spell power and spirit and it is said that Resto Druids are able to regenerate mana much faster than any other healing class.
A Druid’s armor should preferably be from leather but they can also wear cloth. Wearing cloth is not advisable since leather armors have better stats. Cloth armors can be used by healing Druids or even Moonkins since they usually stand in the back and cast without being in close combat. A Druid tank needs to wear armor which has a lot of Stamina so he can be deal with the hard hits while tanking.
Playing a druid is really fun both in PvE and PvP and basically you can’t get bored since you can change your build and game play anytime you please. To level up a Druid will be quite easy as well and it is suggested to have a Feral spec for faster leveling. With a Druid you will be able to shape shift, run faster, swim faster, dive without the need to have an underwater breathing potion, etc. and all this is done instantly!.
